In short

Evergreen Mansion Sdn Bhd is a Malaysia-based property developer with its office in Simpang Ampat, Penang. Potadot designed and built its website in English, with pages for the company, its projects, Sunrise Terraces and contact. The home page runs as full-screen scenes: a family on the sofa, a family on the lawn, the homes under a pink sky, the company’s four values, then a walk across a bridge.

The client

A Penang developer that talks about everyday living.

Evergreen Mansion Sdn Bhd develops homes and commercial spaces, especially in the Northern Region. Its office is in Simpang Ampat. Its About Us page says it has delivered more than a thousand homes to date, and that it has developed key projects under a related company.

The project on the site today is Sunrise Terraces in Nibong Tebal: 137 two-storey terrace homes on freehold title. The company describes its aim in plain terms, as practical, well-designed homes built for everyday living.

The job

Buyers meet the company before they meet Sunrise Terraces.

The site lists one project today, Sunrise Terraces, so a buyer will also want to know the company behind it. The site has to say who Evergreen Mansion is, lead to the project and make contact easy.

Show what the company believes

Evergreen Mansion puts livability, practicality and a sense of community first. The site had to show that in pictures, not only say it.

Lead straight to the project

Someone who came for the homes should reach Sunrise Terraces in a few steps, and find its plans and specifications together.

Keep every way of contact close

WhatsApp, a phone number, an email address and a form. Enquiries may be about current or upcoming projects, partnerships or general information, so each route needed a clear place.

Show the company behind the name

The SSM number, office address and contact details should be easy to find. A buyer who is about to commit will look for them.

The concept

Show the life first, then the house.

Evergreen Mansion says it creates homes and spaces that support everyday living, so the home page opens with everyday living. The visitor starts on a sofa, steps out to a lawn, and only then sees the row of homes. By that point, a row of homes reads as a place to live.

The route through the page

  1. 1 On the sofa

A family at home fills the first screen.

  2. 2 On the lawn

The scene moves outdoors and the company introduces itself.

  3. 3 Along the street

Sunrise Terraces appears under a pink sky.

  4. 4 The promise

    Four values on navy cards.

  5. 5 Over the bridge

A family walks on and the site invites contact.

  6. 6 Get in touch

A short form on the contact page.

Where the look came from

The company’s own words

The about page speaks of “homes and spaces that support everyday living”. The home page follows that phrase: the living comes first.

The closing line

“Creating Spaces Where People Live, Work & Grow.” The page acts this out, from a living room to a lawn for the children to a bridge with city towers ahead.

The logo

A tower in fine blue lines beside a heavy M. The navy on the cards, the headings and the footer bar sits close to the deep blue of the M, and it is the one brand colour the site adds to the photographs.

The design

A quiet frame around the family photographs.

The photographs carry the feeling, so everything around them stays calm: one typeface, one brand colour, and the headline in the same low corner of each scene.

Colour

  • White#FFFFFFReading sections and text on photos
  • Navy#00335DValue cards, headings and the footer bar
  • Black#000000Footer text
  • WhatsApp green#25D366The chat button only

These shares leave out the photographs, which fill most of the home page. All the warmth comes from them, so the design itself needs only navy and white.

The slide-over

The live site in mid-scroll: the family on the lawn above, with the row of homes under a pink sky sliding up over them

Each scene holds still while the next one slides up over it. For a moment two scenes share the screen, so scrolling down feels like moving from one place to the next.

Detail

Four navy cards from the live site: Vision & Purpose, Brand Positioning, Commitment to Quality, Delivery Excellence & Customer Care

After three full-screen photographs, four solid navy cards change the pace. Each has an icon, a title and one line, so the company’s values can be read in seconds.

Rhythm

  1. Sofa
  2. Lawn
  3. Homes
  4. Values
  5. Bridge
  6. Footer

The bar above is the real home page, to scale on a desktop screen. Each photograph fills exactly one screen, and the values section is the one stop made for reading.

Walkthrough

Inside the site, scene by scene.

Here is the home page in order, with two stops on the pages it leads to. The highlight shows what to look at, and the note says why it is there.

01/07

A family, not a building

The first screen is a photograph of a family at home, with two children drawing on the floor and their parents on the sofa. The only headline is “Built for Modern Living”, set low on the left.

Why People buy a home to live in it. The site says so before it says anything about the company.

02/07

The company speaks second

The scene moves out to a lawn, with a family running with their dog. A short paragraph says who Evergreen Mansion is, and a round View Details button leads to the about page.

Why An introduction is easier to read when the picture has already shown what the company is for.

03/07

The homes come third

Only now does a building take the whole screen: Sunrise Terraces under a pink sky, a long row of two-storey homes. The words are just Our Projects, with a round button to the project list.

Why This is the moment the homes get the whole screen, so two words are enough.

04/07

From the picture to the plan

The project page gives Sunrise Terraces room to explain itself: specifications, a location map, floor plans and a site plan with all 137 plots numbered.

Why A picture starts the interest. A site plan answers what a buyer asks next, which is where each home sits.

05/07

Four values, a change of pace

The photographs pause for one white section. Four navy cards carry Vision & Purpose, Brand Positioning, Commitment to Quality, and Delivery Excellence & Customer Care.

Why These cards name what a buyer cares about most in a developer: quality, timely handover and after-sales support. A plain section makes people slow down and read them.

06/07

A last look ahead

The page closes on a family crossing a bridge with city towers ahead, and the company’s line about people living, working and growing. A round Contact Us button sits between that line and a short closing paragraph.

Why The family is walking towards the towers, so the page ends on what comes next. That makes it a natural moment to invite a conversation.

07/07

A short form over green streets

The contact page asks for four things: name, contact number, email and message. The form sits on an aerial photo of a green neighbourhood, and the same page carries the address, a map, the phone number and the email.

Why Four fields is a small thing to ask, and the picture keeps the visitor thinking about home.

On the phone

The same scenes, framed again for the phone.

A wide living room does not fit a tall screen, so the family scenes are cropped in towards the people. The headline stays low on the screen, close to the thumb.

  • The first screen crops in on the two children drawing
  • The paragraph moves from the side to under the headline

Built in

What sits behind the pictures.

Large photographs get the attention. These details make the site useful to a buyer and to the people answering enquiries.

01

WhatsApp in the corner

A green button stays in the corner of the screen and opens a chat with the company, with a greeting already typed.

02

Company details on every page

The footer carries the SSM number, office address, phone number and email, so the company is easy to check.

03

A page for the project

Sunrise Terraces has its own page with specifications, a location map, a site plan, floor plans and a gallery.

04

A simple contact form

Name, contact number, email and message, with reCAPTCHA to keep spam out.

05

Easy to find in person

The contact page shows the office on a Google map, and the address in the footer links to Google Maps.

06

Set up for search

Each page has its own title, and the site describes the company to Google in a format Google can read.

How we built it

Same process, every project.

Every Potadot project starts by understanding the client's situation before anything is designed. See all seven steps

  1. 1

    Understand the business

What Evergreen Mansion stands for, who buys its homes and what a family wants to know about a developer.

  2. 2

    Content creation

We wrote short lines for each scene, then laid out the Sunrise Terraces details so each one is easy to find.

  3. 3

    Design + build

Navy, Montserrat and the slide-over scenes came first, then each page for phone and desktop.

  4. 4

    SEO + launch

Page titles and company data for Google were set up, then came launch and support.

Questions

About this project.

Building a name as well as a project? Tell Ricky about it on WhatsApp at +6011-1142 1029.

What did Potadot do for Evergreen Mansion?

We worked out the concept, wrote the content, designed the pages and built the website, including the Sunrise Terraces page, the contact form and the search setup.

Why start a developer’s website with a family and not the buildings?

A home is bought for the life inside it. Evergreen Mansion talks about everyday living, so the page shows that first and brings in the homes once the visitor has a reason to look.

Can the site grow when new projects launch?

Yes. Sunrise Terraces has its own page under Our Projects, so another project can join it without redesigning the site.

Can you build something like this for my company?

Yes. We start from your company and your buyers, so the idea and the look will be your own. Tell us about your projects and we will show you how we would approach it.
