The website for Carlton Sports Club, a private, appointment-only personal training club in Bayan Lepas, Penang. Every session there is one coach with one member, so every photograph on the page keeps to the same rule.
Carlton Sports Club is a private personal training club in Bayan Lepas, Penang, where training is by appointment and every session is 1-to-1. Potadot designed and built its website as one long page in English. The design follows one rule taken from how the club works: no photograph shows more than two people. The page opens on a six-week promise, introduces the coaches, lays out the six weeks, shows the floor and the members, then closes on the same six weeks. Every step leads to a WhatsApp conversation.
Carlton Sports Club is at Q2 Queens Residences in Bayan Lepas, directly opposite Queensbay Mall. It is a private club, not a walk-in gym. Members train by appointment, on a private floor, with their own coach.
A new member starts with a complimentary consultation. The main offer is a structured six-week programme in six stages: assess, plan, train, track, progress and transform. The site introduces two personal trainers, Jason and Weiyer.

Choosing a personal trainer means choosing who you will spend every session with, and at Carlton nobody can wander in to look first. The site has to show what the room is like, who will be in it and what happens next.
Training is by appointment, so nobody passes the door and looks around. The photographs have to do that job instead.
A member spends every session with one person. Visitors should meet that person by name before they ask about anything else.
“Transformation” is easy to say. Six weeks in named stages gives a visitor something they can picture.
The consultation is free with no obligation, so asking for one should take almost no effort: three fields or a single WhatsApp message.
What Carlton offers is a training floor without the one thing every busy gym has: other people. So we made that the rule of the page. Each photograph shows an empty room, one coach, or one coach with one member. A visitor sees the 1-to-1 promise before reading it.

“Every session is strictly 1-to-1.” That line from the club’s FAQ sets the rule for the photography, the two coach cards and a form that speaks to one person.
Dark timber blinds, warm downlights and a floor with nobody waiting. The near-black page and its low, warm light come straight from the photographs.
CARLTON in lit metal letters on a dark counter. That is where the gold comes from, and why it is shaded like metal and not a flat yellow.
Every chapter sits on near-black. Warm cream carries the headlines, and gold picks out the words and numbers worth stopping for.

6 WEEKS is the biggest line on the first screen, filled with a gradient that reads as gold metal. “What’s possible” sits below it in outline only, because at that point it has not happened yet. The same 6 returns as a faint shape behind the plan.
The form asks for three things: name, WhatsApp number and goal. The fields are thin gold lines, not boxes, and the goal is a short list of five, so nobody has to explain themselves to a stranger.
The bar above is the real page, to scale, and it barely changes shade. No chapter turns light, so the page reads as one room with the lights kept low.
Seven stops, from the offer at the top to the same offer at the bottom. Each highlight marks one decision, and the note beside it gives the reason.
Give us 6 weeks. The 6 WEEKS line is the largest headline on the page, set in gold, with the rest of the promise stacked under it.
Why A vague promise gets ignored. A length of time is something a visitor can say yes to.
Beside the offer sits a card with three fields and one gold button. Press it and WhatsApp opens with the name, number and goal already written.
Why Someone who has already decided at home can act straight away, without scrolling at all.
Coach 01 and Coach 02 each get a large portrait with a thin gold edge and cut corners, set at slightly different heights.
Why In a 1-to-1 club the coach is what you are really choosing, so each one gets the space a product would get elsewhere.
A gold line runs through six numbered stops, from Assess to Transform, each with its week and one short sentence.
Why A big word like transformation needs a timetable. This is the timetable.
Six photographs run edge to edge. One shows the empty floor and the other five show a coach with one member. Tap any of them and it opens large, with a caption and a count.
Why Nobody can drop in to look around, so this strip is the look around. It is also where the two-person rule is easiest to see.
Three cards, each with a photograph of a session above a short quote, five stars and a first name.
Why With a session on every card, the stories stay on the same floor as the rest of the page, with two people in frame again.
Six weeks from now, a stronger, healthier you. The line sits above the same WhatsApp button, with the terms of the consultation spelled out underneath.
Why The first line asks for six weeks and the last line jumps to the end of them. The offer and the button stay the same, so the page closes on the decision it opened with.

Back to the six weeksOn a desktop the offer and the form sit side by side. A phone has no room for that, so the chapters stack and change shape.

Two of these shape the first WhatsApp message the club receives. The others look after the photographs, the film, Google and visitors who prefer less movement.
The form writes the first message with the visitor’s name, number and goal, so the club knows why they came before replying.
Book a consultation, arrange a private visit or start the six weeks. Each button opens WhatsApp with an opening line to match.
The floor photographs open large, and visitors can move through them with arrows, a swipe or the keyboard.
The club film only loads when someone presses play, so it does not hold up the rest of the page.
The page gives Google the club’s address, its coaches, the free consultation and the common questions in a format it can read.
On a device set to reduce motion, the fade-ins, the counting figures and the card tilt all stop. The content stays exactly the same.

What a private, appointment-only club offers, and what someone needs to see before sending a first message.
We turned the club’s offer into short chapters in English: the six stages, the questions and the opening line of each WhatsApp message.
The two-person rule set the photographs, the club’s own room set the near-black and gold, then each chapter was laid out for phone and desktop.
Titles, search data for Bayan Lepas and the WhatsApp links set up, then launch and support.

We worked out the concept, wrote the content, designed the page and built the site in English, with search setup and WhatsApp enquiries.
Because the club itself is dark timber, warm light and a private floor. A bright page would have described a different place.
Training at Carlton is by appointment, so every visit starts with a conversation. WhatsApp is where that conversation happens, and each button starts it with a line that fits.
Yes. We would look for the one thing that sets your business apart and build the page around it. At Carlton that was one coach and one member. Tell us about yours and we will show you how we would approach it.
